I have continued looking at local newspaper, at this stage, it is 'Manchester Evening News'...

I think that I like aspects of this to take through to my own newspaper lay-out as it seems more established and professional than the previous research.

However, in my newspaper, I would want to include some adverts as I feel that it shows the local industry e.g local cafes. I think that it is important to represent the community especially if it is a local newspaper.

The colour scheme for this paper does not appear to follow 3-colour rule even though they do. I think that this is a clever way to bring in the colours (where as the Leigh Journals colours were obvious). The subtly used colours are Black (White Background) red and yellow and these are unisex colours so appeal to a wider audience...
